Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 pickle slices
Instructions:
Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat
Make 4 patties out of the ground beef that are all the same size
Add salt and pepper to each patty
For medium-rare, cook the patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side on the grill or in the pan
If you like them well-done, cook them for longer
Add a slice of American cheese to top of each patty in the last minute of cooking and let it melt
While the patties are cooking, split the hamburger buns and toast them a little
Put the mayonnaise and ketchup in a small bowl and mix them together to make a unique sauce
Cover the bottom bun with sauce
Place a burger patty with melted cheese on top
Top with tomato slices, red onion slices, and a pickle slice
Put the other half of the bun on top
Enjoy your hot Juicy Double Cheeseburgers!
